The Foundation
Brad Richardson gains deep industrial experience at Flowserve Corporation, laying the groundwork for high-pressure fabrication standards.
Establishing Roots
Mark Sanders (now Foreman) begins a 20+ year tenure at the Clay Center shop, establishing a record of excellence (less than 10 leaks in over two decades).
Expanding the Team
Travis DeVore joins the shop, bringing versatile skills in programming, profiling, and pipe cutting to the Clay Center team.
Mobile Growth
Cody Hanna joins to lead the mobile side of the business, taking Richweld’s expertise out of the shop and directly into the fields and factories of the community.
The New Era
Richweld acquires Arteck Enterprises. This move unites two shops and creates a powerhouse for forming, cutting, bending, and certified welding.
Richweld Fabrication wasn’t built in a boardroom, it was built in the field and on the shop floor. Founded by Brad Richardson, a former Flowserve Corporation employee, the company was born out of a simple mission: to provide Nebraska with a metal fabrication partner that combines elite, certified expertise with the honest service of a local shop.
The turning point for Richweld came with the acquisition of Arteck Enterprises in Clay Center from its founder, Andy Kuehler. By merging Richweld’s mobile agility with Arteck’s decades of specialized experience, we created a “dangerously” capable team.
Today, we operate out of two locations (Hastings and Clay Center), allowing us to handle “adult-sized Lego projects”—taking raw plate and pipe and turning them into precision-engineered systems. Whether we are shipping pressure vessels across the globe or welding an auger for a farmer down the road, our standard remains the same: It needs to be right the first time.
